The form, the style, the material and the way of expressing ideas arises from what the artist wishes to say.
James and Liz are both interested in showing the diversity of natural form.
Their compositions range from human portraiture and plant structure through to land and seascapes. These they compose using a variety of media to create both graphic and abstract representations.
In this joint exhibition with his mother, James is showing a selection of travel inspired portraits and fine art work, which includes a recent study of Orchids.
Liz has selected a variety of etchings, linoprints, collographs and paintings, which explore natural form. Her love of her garden, Cornwall and the Chilterns is particularly visible in her work.
